11 WEEKS TO GO!!!!!!

I think Monday could be favourite days with Yoga and hot shower haha.

Work back to full swing this week which leaves me with no time what so ever haha, been lagging behind on my blog so sorry only just managing to catch up. Not getting back from work till late in the evening, started Yoga tonight as was informed that it would work wonders to go in with my training and breathing.  Still unsure what to make of it, i mean it does work on your breathing really gets you to concentrate on your breathing and the stretches WOW, but  i still find myself giggling at the names of the posistions (i know school child stuff but still i find myself giigling like a child LOL) Yeah so it really does put you through your paces into positions which are wierd yet really do feel the benefit.  They just get your concentrating on your breathing alot its all breathing everything you do breath in and breath out. End of sessions words used like Hooooooommmm shandi shandi shaaaaannnnnndiiiiiii brilliant :-D
I felt nervous at the start of the class like a child what if i hear someone let rip and agian i know childish but really come on who wouldn't let out a smile. ;-) At the end of the session i can see what benefit it will have for me with all the stretches thing it will make training not ache soo much ;-) haha..

Made my own protein shake tonight as well and WOW if i don't say so myself
as follows;
1/4 cucumber
Few brazil nuts
Few almonds
Few walnuts
Scoop of protein excellence
Load of Ice cubes and
250 ml of Rice Milk
Blend all ingredients up and drink Lovely, Post training drink

End of week 3

Another week downI don't believe how quick it is going, all abit nuts still things seemed to of slowed up this week i guesse because of work and that abit more time on my hands as half days some days loads of time to sort stuff.  It still dawns on me soemtimes only 11 weeks and I'll be on my way to Everest Jesus haha be alright as long as i keep up the training and not cheat with time off just keep head down and crack on. Work through the hard times..
Just the fund raising trying to sort soo much to get on with and trying to find time to email companies reference gear amongst all sorts but i will get there haha be alright..

Weather still bad so had was home by 3, managed to send out some emails than I hit gym about 1700 and wow note to self not to hit gym at that time again as jesus was it rammed, just couldn't get on anything or get on the TRX machine where you use your body weight for a work out it's a great bit of kit when you can get on it..
Too busy for me so just kind of stuck on the running machine. Managed to get onto TRX for a couple of sets than time was running out. It does irritate me specially when you are waiting for machines and some idiot is sat there texting doing half hearted reps ahhhh really come on this isnt a social club for us all to come and have a coffee over the machines have a catch up, it's a place to burn the good stuff right out of you sweat like a champ haha.. Come in do your programme and foxtrot oscar simple no!! LOL..

Anyhow sorry so i managed to give myself a bit of a beasting as had my sprts massage at 1900 by CLH sports theapy which i have to add is sooooo good after you been burning the s***e out of your legs :-) She worked on my quads and calves for a good hour a god send i tell you.. Thank you Claire ;-)

New day, new dawn, new life for me..

Wow actually felt sick from the gym session tonight the new prgramme is great, really loving it.

Was in Newspaper Evening Telegraph today too which so far not had much attention from it but i plan to keep pushing at the media to keep promting what i'm doing Heart radio is next on my attack list, they arent getting away that easy haha. Been emailing them pretty much everyday but had no reply the ignorant gits but persitance is the way forward.

Managed to get some change gobblers out today as they were eventually finished with little postcards expalining what im doing with posters too so advertisement is going well its has started well and truly now fun time yes.. ;-)  Busy busy as got to email a food friend for a radio show in peterborogh to so that should be exciting more publicity spreading the word even more. Happy days..

Really starting to get it on like Donkey Kong... :-D

randoms at the gym LOL

Soo funny at the gym heard two funny things A father telling his son off what he had done i dont know but walked in with the Dad shouting at him HOW OLD ARE YOU?? COME ON HOW OLD ARE YOU?? With an absolute brilliant reply " DER your my dad you should know how old I am, why would you ask me that?".. I died he must of only been 5/6.. Brilliant.. 
 Also heard some massive chap who i think likes the old injections too much, loving himself up in the mirror, talking about driving in the snow "i was 10 metres behind the car in front doing about 40, he stopped at a roundabout, I pressed the brake and nothing happened i couldnt believe it, it was like there was no brakes. I didnt stop hit him straight up the ass"... hahaha Really I couldnt believe what i was hearing, i didn't think people were that stupid LOL Was quite an entertaining trip to the gym..

New Training Programme

WOW, me jesus am i burning just out from new Gym programme that has ben set up and yeah haha, the bunr make the burn your friend they say i say you can bog off lol... Nah its good though have incorporated a number of squats, interval training on the rowing machine, step ups and using this TRX machine some big frame thing that only uses your boody weight yeah wow does that burn every part of you arms hands and legs jesus..

This new prgramme will last for 2 weeks before being increased again. Fun times yes.. 

Fund Raising

Now the fund rasing side of life haha, well well, where do I start. Its all been abit of a rollercoaster so far with everything, there is so much to do and so little time. So off to it than we have a date set for the 7th of April which is a Sunday and it will be Family Activity day with all sorts going on from raffles, BBQ, stalls, and games all in aid to raise money for CRUK we have not set a venue yet but are on the look out so if there are any venues out there and willing to loan us a hall in aid of charity be very much appreciated. Please message me if you are or know a willing participant :-).

We will also be setting up some Claire Voyant nights not sure how many yet depends on how popular they are, so only time will tell but they are defernately in the pipeline so looking forward to oragnising them.

I can't begin to express my grattitude for who is helping me at the minute family and friends. As time is so short trying to squeeze everything in is a mission with work, training, social networking and fundraising I don't get much free time as my time is taken up with organising, blogging or training haha, but in all honesty I wouldnt have it any other way, CRUK desereve everything they get and I hope i get the oppurtunity to raise alot of money so I am able to say that WE have made that difference.

Training

Hmmm Training hmm haha, yeah well been on for 2 weeks now, and its going good.  The start of week 3 and have booked a session with my PT to up my programme tonight as was quite easy on my usual routine so had to up it myself last night. We can't have getting easy now can we ;-).

Training consisted of 40 minutes of cardio with 15 minutes on x-trainer, 10 minuts on bike, 5 minutes on rowing machine and 10 minutes on running machine.   Than on to conditioning with the chest press with 15 reps x 3, leg press 15 x 3, onto shoulder press 15 reps x 3, more chest work and arm work on free weights. These sessions happen 3 times a week broken up by minimum 40 minutes swimming sessions. Weekends are hill reps of 40 minute sessions mix and matching of biking and running.

Cardio will be increases this week probably up to an hour with added conditioning too

On the Fridays i have a god send of a sports thearapist by a very hulpful; and kind Claire Houston from CLH Sport Therapy who has kindly treating me during my training up to the Event a heart felt thank you Claire. :-)

Countdown beginning

85 days remaining till my departure date and wow soooo much to do, really kinda wished i had a PA to help with the amount of paperwork i have to do, here was me thinking be alright buy my ticket and away you go!! No don't be silly ha, there is soo much more involved for a start there is all the documents; travel insurance, visa's, passport info (I need a new one, mine went through washing machine) hmm, medical forms. Than there is the fund raising side of life which again more paperwork. Than there is the oragnising soo much involved that you dont realise kinda my fault for taking on the challenge in such a short space of time but than its not really a challenge if you have a year to prepare for it is there ;-)..

About the Journey

I am doing a epic trek of Mount Everest for 22 days with 18 days of actual trekking/mountaineering to raise money for Cancer Research UK through Just giving. This is being done as my family and friends have not had a lot of luck with Cancer, it is a disease that seems to be winning the fight. It was into 2013 that was decided with family that there are things we can do to fight back against the disease. I wanted something that was going to be challenging mentally and physically and that is where i found Mount Everest Circuit.

There are over 200 types of cancer and with the support and donations of generous people CRUK can carry on with their work of reducing death's from Cancer.

CRUK have made significant contribution to half of the top thirty drugs used to treat patients worldwide today.

CRUK is leading research into children's cancer in the UK, it is thanks to them that the survival rate of cancer in children has doubled since the 1960's.

Together WE can make a difference.
